Conférence CERMO-FC: «Confocal, Super-resolution and Lifetime-based imaging with the Leica STELLARIS 8»

The Leica STELLARIS is a multi-modal confocal microscope providing a single platform for confocal, super-resolution imaging and fluorescence lifetime-based imaging.  The STELLARIS was designed based on the pillars of Power, Potential, and Productivity for life science research and its superior performance is the result of synergies between many innovative technologies unique to Leica. The Power to see more is based on novel technologies such as the ultra-sensitive HyD family of detectors along with the spectral freedom of the STELLARIS with respect to both excitation and detection.  The White Light Laser (WLL) of the STELLARIS 8 provides 350 laser lines and when combined with the filter-free, tunable detection the level of flexibility for selecting fluorophores and optimization of the imaging parameters is unmatched by any other imaging system.      The Potential to discover more is based on the availability of additional imaging modalities that are typically not found with “standard” confocal imaging systems.  This includes novel applications associated with the WLL, super-resolution with LIGHTNING (120nm in xy and <300nm in z) and nanoscopy with STED microscopy (<50nm in xy and <130nm in z).  The STELLARIS 8 also allows access and utilization of the fluorescence lifetime domain providing additional tools and insights beyond the spectral dimension typically used for fluorescence imaging. The Productivity to do more is based on the of the ease-of-use for all of these imaging modalities on a single platform along with the Navigator tool enabling fast overviews and automated acquisitions.  Please join the seminar to learn more about the power and potential of the STELLARIS 8.
