DESCRIPTION:Le Groupe de recherche sur le capital humain va tenir son huiti
 ème colloque le vendredi 18 septembre 2026 à l’Université du Québec 
 à Montréal. Plusieurs chercheuses et chercheurs académiques en sciences
  sociales viendront présenter leurs travaux récents. La recherche prése
 ntée sera principalement de nature empirique et microéconométrique\, av
 ec une attention particulière aux questions d’identification des effets
  causaux. Le colloque se veut une rencontre de discussion et d’échange 
 sur le thème bien-être socioéconomique des peuples autochtones. Le coll
 oque est ouvert non seulement aux chercheuses et chercheurs académiques\,
  mais également aux dirigeant.e.s et décideur.se.s politiques ainsi qu
 ’aux fonctionnaires des ministères et agences gouvernementales avec un 
 intérêt pour le sujet.\n\n\nLe colloque aura lieu à l’Université du 
 Québec à Montréal\, pavillon Président-Kennedy\, 201\, avenue du Prés

 earch Group on Human Capital will hold its eighth workshop on Friday\, Sep
 tember 18\, 2026\, at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Multiple acade
 mic researchers from the social sciences will present recent work. The pre
 sentations primarily feature empirical research using microeconometric mod
 els\, with a particular emphasis on questions of identification of causal 
 effects. The workshop is intended to promote discussion and exchanges on t
 he theme of Indigenous socioeconomic wellbeing. The workshop is open not o
 nly to academics (professors\, researchers\, graduate students)\, but also
  to administrators and policymakers as well as to officials from governmen
 tal institutions with an interest in the topic.\n\n\nThe workshop will tak
 e place at the University of Quebec in Montreal\, building Président-Kenn
 edy\, 201 Président-Kennedy Avenue (Place-des-Arts metro station)\, room
