Intelligence, the ultimate safeguard of state sovereignty, faces many challenges in a multipolar international system in which new hybrid threats are emerging. To meet these challenges, intelligence has had to develop its cooperation capabilities, whether institutionalized or ad hoc. This international conference, bringing together leading experts, aims to question and analyze the new challenges in terms of intelligence cooperation in the light of an emerging multipolar world. Among the themes addressed will be the challenges of subversion, the management of uncertainty in the intelligence sharing, the opportunities for a transatlantic intelligence cooperation, the European Union as a unified actor in intelligence cooperation, and Canada’s position in this intelligence sharing system.

Le renseignement, ultime rempart de la souveraineté des États, fait face à de nombreux défis dans un système international multipolaire faisant émerger de nouvelles menaces hybrides. Pour y faire face, le renseignement a dû développer ses capacités de coopération, qu’elles soient institutionnalisées ou ad hoc. Ce colloque international, réunissant des experts de renom, propose de questionner et d’analyser les nouveaux enjeux en matière de coopération en renseignement face à un monde multipolaire en émergence. Parmi les thèmes traités, nous retrouverons les enjeux liés à la subversion, la gestion de l’incertitude dans l’échange des renseignements, les opportunités de coopération transatlantique en renseignement, l’Union européenne comme acteur unitaire de coopération en renseignement, ou encore la place du Canada dans ce système d’échange de renseignements.
